Oddsmonkey vs. Profit Accumulator Review
If you've been considering using a paid matched betting service, then chances are at some point you've stumbled across Oddsmonkey or Profit Accumulator, and you might be wondering which one is better.
The debate between the two is a bit like when you used to spend breaktime at school arguing with your friends that your Xbox was better than their Playstation… No? Just me? Fair enough.
The point is, these two are the best paid matched betting services available. Despite people’s strong allegiances to either side, in my opinion they are more similar than they are different, with both products offering an active forum, an offers calendar, and Oddsmatchers.
For these reasons, people tend to sign up to one and stick with them because that’s just what they’re used to.
Oddsmonkey vs. Profit Accumulator googles 2017-present.
We at Team Profit have a significant amount of experience using both Profit Accumulator and Oddsmonkey, and believe that both have their advantages. Many people prefer one over the other, whether it be because they prefer the layout of PA’s forum, or because they prefer OM’s software, or simply because they’ve always used one and that’s what they’re comfortable with.
Here's our comparison of the two products in terms of the features they offer:
Oddsmonkey's Daily Offer Calendar is a fantastic tool for anyone who is looking at sustaining their Matched Betting profits beyond the welcome offers. Each day it's updated to show you as many profitable offers as possible, with full instructions and how much you can expect to make from them. They post the newest offers first and display either the guaranteed or expected value of the offer. They also have a comprehensive filter, allowing you to choose what offers you see based on
- Offer Type i.e. Sports, Casino or Bingo
- Easy, Medium or Hard difficulty
- Guaranteed or Potential profit
You also have the ability to bookmark offers, mark offers complete and filter out offers from bookies that you're gubbed from.
Profit Accumulator's Daily Offer Calendar is unsurprisingly also full of offers and makes a great tool for anyone who wants to sustain their Matched Betting profits month in, month out. PA's Calendar does differ quite a bit in comparison to OM's though. Firstly, you'll notice a star rating next to each offer. This aims to help customers prioritise the more valuable and/or faster offers available that day (5 stars being the best offers, 1 being the worst).
They too also offer a gubbing filter and a mark as complete button, but no other filtering options are available. It's simplistic and does the job for those that have little time and just want to get things done.
Oddsmonkey's calendar does everything you want. It does however look a little daunting for a new person and can seem a little confusing, but once you get used to it, it's a great feature. PA's calendar is also extremely good, however in my opinion it's a little too simple and is missing key information such as the profit/expected value per offer, and ways to filter this.
Oddsmonkey's community forum is an extremely valuable place, and, in my opinion is worth more than £17.99 alone. Why is this? Well, you will learn a lot from speaking with other Matched Bettors than you would doing it on your own just following offers. Some of my most profitable offers over the years have been things that I've learned / heard about from others. Perhaps it was a loophole, or an offer that wasn't included in the calendar, or even a price boost that was wort alot. You won't find this if you don't use the forum.
Furthermore, Oddsmonkey's forum is fantastic for Price Boosts. Their dedicated price boost thread has loads of people contributing to it daily, and, at the time of writing is estimated to be worth at least £500+ a month as a very conservative estimate. These price boosts aren't posted as offers, as they're only around for a short time, so you need the forum to get on them. Even if you only got on 20% of them, that's £100 a month for what... £17.99? Plus the rest of the tools! No brainer!
The only issue we really have with Oddsmonkey's forum is the layout. It can be frustrating at times finding what you want. You have things such as "latest offers official", "offers you found", "existing customer offers"; it just seems a bit much for somebody who is new. Also, there are perhaps a little too many pinned posts in some of the forums.
Profit Accumulator's forum is also extremely valuable. It was actually on PA's forum that I learned alot about loopholes, price boosts, and much more. I would log on every single day, and do all of the offers listed. I would then open the forum discussion for each offer and have a little read. See what other people's experiences are, share tips, and share other offers and things you might not know with each other.
PA's community has been around a lot longer than OM's, as they were a premium Matched Betting service long before. I have always rated PA's community over OM's due to it's activity, the knowledge that is on there, and also the layout. It just seems a more user-friendly forum, but then again, this could just be because I've been using them a lot longer than OM!
Also, PA have a Meme thread on their forum 😉
Oddsmonkey's forum is great and has everything you need, however it can seem very cluttered at times. Old threads and confusing navigation means it's at a disadvantage to PA in my opinion. Also, PA's forum seems like a nicer user-friendly option with some well established threads and members aboard. I would have given PA's forum a solid 5* rating had you asked me a year or so ago however, in the past year it does seem that Oddsmonkey's has taken alot of PAs market share as their forum seems to be getting a lot more active in certain areas such as Price Boosts, where PA have started to decline.
It's hard to pick a winner here, as I genuinely do think PAs forum was a lot better and still is in terms of navigation. However, Oddsmonkey's forum has improved massively and is far more active in key threads than PA. They are both very good, however both could do with a little improving, so its 4* each.
Both websites offer a range of ways you can receive support. These include:
You can email them any time of day, and they'll try to respond within 24 hours. Both websites have an auto-reply to acknowledge your question. Oddsmonkey respond with their opening hours, and suggest you using the forum for quicker responses. PA respond with a phone number for urgent matched betting queries (see Phone below)
To test out their support, we emailed each site at around 3pm on a weekday. Within 30 minutes, both of them had replied with a good response!
You can tag an Administrator or Support Staff on either site, and someone will reply to you. This is usually the best way of getting support, as you'll sometimes get a helpful member jump in to give advice too! This has always been my personal way of asking for help.
Both sites have a Twitter account. You can tweet them however it's not guaranteed that you'd get a response. OM seem pretty active on Twitter, posting multiple times daily. PA on the other hand post every few days, so it may not be the best method for contacting them
PA's unique way of contacting them is via phone. They have a phone line open ready to answer any questions you may have, and it's available 7 days a week. This is fantastic as you receive help from a member of the team personally
- 1 to 1s
OM's answer to personal help is through 1 to 1s. Each new member can book a 1 to 1 session with a member of the OM team. You can talk about anything here and get an answer in real time, from one of their team members
Profit Accumulator: 5*
It's hard to choose one site over the other for support as each of them offer so many ways to get help. They pretty much offer everything you could ever need, apart from 24 hour support, but I don't think Matched Betting until 5am is a health lifestyle!
Oddsmonkey's Oddsmatcher is their flagship tool and perhaps what they are most well-known for. Over time they have been adding more and more features to it to create what you see today; A fully integrated Oddsmatcher with multiple filters, email alerts, and Betfair/Smarkets integration. You can place your lay bets directly on the Oddsmatcher meaning you won't have to navigate to the markets on the exchange, or go to a separate calculator page. It's all done with the click of a button - something that is extremely helpful for newer Matched Bettors. The only downsides to OMs Oddsmatcher is that the odds can sometimes be out of date, and the auto-refresh of odds only works if you're an annual member.
Profit Accumulator's Oddsmatcher obviously does exactly the same job as OM's. You'll notice the layout is extremely similar and you can tell that a lot of the functionality has taken inspiration from OM's. They too have plenty of filters as well as Betfair/Smarkets integration. The Oddsmatcher itself does seem a little slower however, and less reliable.
Oddsmonkey's Oddsmatcher has always, without a doubt, been the best of the two. They had it up and running years before PA was even established, and since then, PA have been trying to play catch up to keep on PAR with OM. I'd say that there's still some work to do on PA's behalf, however their Oddsmatcher is still a good tool to use if you're doing the sign up offers or basic reloads. Oddsmonkey would easily get 5* here if it wasn't for the occasional delayed odds - it's not a huge issue, but for people doing complicated reloads, it can be a little annoying.
Oddsmonkey's mobile app is a great tool for anyone, not even just those that want to Matched Bet on the go. I've never been a fan of Matched Betting via mobile as it's so much easier and quicker doing it on a desktop, however the apps that both OM and PA have brought out are fantastic and real game changers. OM's app has 6 main navigation options when you open it, and clicking into each one takes you to the areas you are looking for almost instantly.
The main two features are the Daily Offers and the Community options. The daily offers takes you to a simplified version of their Daily Offer Calendar. This is extremely user friendly, and laid out in a really nice way. You can still filter offers by profit, guaranteed profit, skill level, upvotes etc. To view instructions, you simply just tap the offer and the instructions will pop up instantly! I actually prefer their mobile calendar over the desktop one; it's simple, loads extremely quick, and overall just a generally nice experience using it.
Also on their app you can navigate and use their community forum. This is all done within the app, so no links going outside anywhere as it's full integrated. Just like with the calendar, the forum loads extremely quick and is completely mobile friendly. It's actually enjoyable seeing how quickly it loads, and it has all of the exact same threads and info that the desktop version contains. You'll probably find yourself using the forum alot more if you download their app!
The only downside really to OM's app is that they don't have an Oddsmatcher. This is something that I should imagine will be added in the future as it's a vital piece to anyone's Matched Betting tools, especially for the newer type of Matched Bettor.
Profit Accumulator's app is laid out in a very similar fashion, with 6 buttons taking you to the key areas. Underneath this main navigation section, they have a feature that shows you how many offers you've completed and how many are left to do. It's a very slick and easy to use landing page, and all of the features you'd ever need are within one click away, with one exception; the forum.
One thing to note about PA's app is that they have an Oddsmatcher on it. This is extremely handy for newer Matched Bettors who are completing the welcome offers, as you can do it all on your phone without the need for a PC. The Oddsmatcher itself is extremely user friendly too, and much more simple than their desktop version (in a good way!). It displays very little information when the results are loaded, which is something we like as it makes the whole thing less cluttered and more mobile friendly. The items displayed for each match are the % rating, the back odds, and the lay odds. You can then click to expand the bet and receive more information such as what league the bet is on, and how much is available in the exchange. All of the filters you'd want are available too; so you can choose to refine your search results to a particular sport, bookmaker, market etc. The only downside I can see is that you need to expand a match to find out which bookmaker it is - something that can be quite annoying when you're searching for multiple bookmakers in one search.
The downside to PA's App is that they currently don't have their forum on there. OM's app has the forum clearly displayed, and it's actually extremely slick and mobile friendly. This is what PA's app is lacking, and, if they added it then it'd definitely be a 5* app as it literally has everything else. I'm sure this will be added in the future though!
Profit Accumulator: 4*
It's hard to pick one app over the other here; they both do the job and do it fantastically well. PA have the upper hand with the Oddsmatcher which is an extremely valuable tool, but then Oddsmonkey come back with their forum that loads super quick and is literally at your finger tips. So, at the moment they are pretty much on par with each other. The first one to have both a forum and Oddsmatcher will for sure receive 5 stars though!
Full membership for each site costs £17.99 a month, or £150 a year.

OM or PA?
So, who should you sign up with? Which website provides the best bang for your buck?
Despite both sites essentially offering you the same thing, we have rated Oddsmonkey slightly higher than Profit Accumulator because of their tools. The Oddsmatcher and Daily Offer Calendar just beat PA's in our opinion, however one the whole, both sites are extremely similar.
If you're completely new to Matched Betting, then perhaps Profit Accumulator is for you. Their welcome offers seem a lot more newbie friendly.
However, if you're looking to make consistent profit each month then you'll want Oddsmonkey for the price boosts thread and the tools.
If you want to really smash it each month though, you should have both websites. Its a no brainer.
